Be Part Of A National Movement

To Build Bridges

and Heal The Divides

The Engaging The Other Conference is one of many like-purposed bridge-building initiatives occurring around the country. One of our central goals is to support, link with, and contribute to a growing stream of these efforts for a larger, coordinated, and more sustained impact.

We encourage those interested in the mission of the ETO Conference to learn more about these efforts and these events occurring immediately before or after our event, and consider joining them for more opportunities to contribute to a civil national dialogue.

Additional resources offering opportunities for involvement will continue to be included.

Revitalizing America – Together. The last few years have been  hard on conversations. 75% of Americans now believe our inability to engage civilly with one another has reached a crisis level. We have not been this divided since the 1850’s. And the way we use technology tends to separate us even more. National Conversation Week is about bringing Americans together to talk it out. Organizations can sign up to partner and host affiliated events (you can even add them to the calendar). Individuals can sign up to participate both in person and online (individuals are welcome to host their own events too).

6)   7th Parliament of The World’s Religions:

November 1-7, 2018   Location: Toronto, Canada

The Parliament of the World’s Religions was created to cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

Since the historic 1893 World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago, modern Parliaments have attracted participants from more than 200 diverse religious, indigenous, and secular beliefs and more than 80 nations to its international gatherings in Chicago (1993), Cape Town (1999), Barcelona (2004), Melbourne (2009), and Salt Lake City (2015). These Parliament events are the world’s oldest, largest, and most inclusive gatherings of the global interfaith movement. Individuals and communities who are equally invested in attaining this goal are invited.
