SITE

The International Conference on "Engaging The Other" (ETO) is held at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California USA, north of San Francisco.
  
 Economical, roomy, and convenient on-campus housing is available through the university housing office (see below). We are also arranging for discounted accomodation rates at nearby hotels (to be posted shortly).

A ROOMMATE Finding / RIDE-Sharing bulletin board will be available to find participants to share a room or ride.

Please Note:  
- CBI
directly handles all Conference Program Registrations
      and
Conference Meals,
-
All arrangements for accommodations are handled directly with either the SSU university housing office or nearby hotel.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Two Options:
1) On-Campus Housing
at Beaujolais Village Apartments:

Rate: $39-$45 per person per night
Each apartment unit has:
  4 single bedrooms, each with a private full bathroom
  Shared Modern Kitchen
  Shared Dining & Living Room
  Internet and phone jacks, as well as cable TV
  Central plaza with swimming pool and spa

2) Local hotel (details to be posted shortly)

Extended Stays in the San Francisco area:
The ETO Conference occurs during a popular tourist season of the San Francico Bay, and participants may wish to consider adding some time to their conference trip to enjoy the climate and many attactions of a vacation in the area. TRAVEL

Location and Travel Information:
Sanoma State University
is located 50 miles north of San Francisco, off Highway 101, adjacent to the communities of Rohnert Park and Cotati.
 
Nearby international airports served by major airlines are: San Francisco International Airport and Oakland Airport.
Regional airport is: Charles Schulz Sonoma County Airport (Sonoma County Airport)

By Car:

From San Francisco Bay Area:
Highway 101 north to Rohnert Park Expressway exit. Turn right onto Rohnert Park Expressway and follow to its end at Petaluma Hill Road. Right on Petaluma Hill Road to the stoplight at East Cotati Avenue. Right on East Cotati Avenue to Main Entrance of the campus on your right. Information Booth is at the end of the drive.

From Northern California (Crescent City, Eureka):
Highway 101 south to Rohnert Park Expressway. Turn left onto Rohnert Park Expressway and follow to its end at Petaluma Hill Road. Right on Petaluma Hill Road to the stoplight at East Cotati Avenue. Right on East Cotati Avenue to Main Entrance of the campus on your right.

From Northern California (Redding, Chico):
Interstate 5 south to Interstate 505. Take 505 to Interstate 80. Take Interstate 80 West to Vallejo to Highway 37 west to Highway 101, then north on Highway 101. Proceed to campus as from San Francisco.

From Sacramento:
Interstate 80 west to Vallejo. Take Highway 37 west to Highway 101 north. Proceed to campus as from San Francisco.

From Oakland East Bay Area:
Interstate 580 across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Highway 101 North. Proceed as from San Francisco.

By Air:  

Shuttle service from San Francisco International Airport
(SFO):
Sonoma County Airport Express: For information: call 707-837-8700 or visit www.airportexpressinc.com. Departs SFO every 90 minutes, between 5:15 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Cost $24 one way, $48 roundtrip.

Shuttle service from Oakland International Airport
Sonoma County Airport Express: For information: call 707-837-8700 or visit www.airportexpressinc.com. Departs Oakland every 2 hours, between 6 a.m. and midnight. Cost $24 one way, $48 roundtrip.

Charles Schulz Sonoma County Airport (Sonoma County Airport)
The airport is serviced by Horizon Air with flights to and from Sonoma County, Los Angeles and Seattle. Car rentals are available through Avis, Enterprise and Hertz.
